Your group is in a tower, on the 37th floor, which is made of only one room. There is a staircase leading up, a staircase leading down, and a rather large window.

((What's going on? I don't know! That's what y'all have to make up on your own :3 Kalp, if you want it to be ToS related then it can be ToS related. Like I said in the post that no one seemed to have read, this is completely driven by the players, not an RP Master ^ ^ Kriv: Is it a castle? It could just be a free-standing tower. It could be the Washington Monument (though that's not what it looks like...) It could well be a castle! Make it up!))

(For the people like me, here's Aleu's post: talesofs.proboards39.com/index.cgi?board=talesrpg&action=display&thread=1191376802 ) Kriven looked around the area. He tapped at the walls with his stone arm, talon-like fingers clicking against brick. He turned towards the staircase heading up, and peered into the the marble steps that wrapped into darkness. "I think that if we go up any higher, this whole place might fall down with use inside." Kriven says, turning towards the window to see just how far up they were, and they were pretty damn far up. He ripped a small pebble out of the blue flames that seemed to act as a glue for his arm, and tossed the little stone at the downward stairs, listening as they clacked against marble and rock.

So much for heading upwards. In that moment, a pair of unaware explorers tumbled down the stairs from above the 37th floor. They landed with a thud, the female face down atop the male. "Oomph! Now will you get off me?!" The spray of dust from the floor departed to reveal two young beings.
The half-elf, affectionately known as Ari, slid off of Tempest's back, giggling. "My, that was quite fun! She smiled at him, giving him a somewhat apologetic glance for being a klutz and causing the two of them to tumble down.
"That was rather graceful of you, princess, using me as your cushion," Tempest replied bitterly, getting off of the floor and dusting his clothes off. "Now where are we?" He spotted Kriven from across the room. "Do you know him?"
"Oh!" Ari scampered over to the other side with a smile on her face. "Kriven! What're you doing here? Tempest and I, well, we got quite lost. He claims that he knows where we're heading but--"
"--I do know where we're heading!" the man snapped.
Ari tilted her head to the side innocently. "Does that mean we're headed for limbo?" she joked sarcastically.
Tempest seethed and turned to look outside through the window.

A man woke up on the 37th floor and looked around rapidly. He wondered where he was and how he got there, but forgot it all when he felt the urge to pee, he quickly ran down a stairs and went to the window and peed out of it.
Afterwards he went back up and he saw people which he probably missed when he woke up and ran away. And he came back on his question. "Where am I?" he asked to no one in particular.

Kriven looked at the man asking where the group was, shrugged, and continued to stare at the ground from the window, slowly losing his sense of "Oh yeah, I'm not flying." He shuddered at the feeling of weightlessness and backed away from the sealed hole in the wall.
"I would say we're in a generic fort tower... but then again, nothing is as it appears in these places.." Kriven said and then turned to Tempest, "But if you're so aware of where the two of you are headed, then you should probably know where we are now, or else you wouldn't have come here to get to wherever you're getting, so where is this and what is it?"

"I can't seem to get rid of you, Ari," Kapu said, his tone one of pleasant surprise, as he rounded the edge of the staircase from the floor below. Jokingly, he added, "You can't get enough of me, is that it?" He looked snazzier than Ari remembered, decked out in an unbuttoned black trench coat, a dark blue shirt with matching pants, and Whirr strapped at a jaunty angle across his back. He even had a fedora perched atop his head. Kapu himself, though, still looked like his same old self. His golden eyes were bright, his hair tousled and unkempt.
"It's good to see you again," he said. "And your emo little friend," he added, nodding towards Tempest. Kapu then turned slightly, starting to make for the other side of the room before noticing Kriven for the first time. He halted, and his eyes narrowed. Whirr whined quietly in protest as his grip on its handle tightened.
"I wish I could say the same to you, Kriven." The warmth in his words had dropped like a rock, and proceeded to bounce downwards 'round the long flight of stairs, stopping somewhere between the first floor and groundwater.
"I'm sorry Ari, but I have some business to attend to up top," he said curtly. "A couple people are waiting for me. I'll see you later." With that, he brushed by the group and walked quickly up the next set of steps, vanishing from view.

Whisper looked from person to person to wall to wall to persons who walk in and walk out and got more and more confused untill he just dropped unconsciousness on the ground.

"Hn." Tempest looked irritably toward Kriven. "And wouldn't you? You're on the 37th floor of a tower? You had to have come here with some sort of inclination." He crossed his arms, turning his attention back to the outside. They were quite a bit from the ground and the only reason why he knew that it was the 37th floor was because he and Ari had passed this area before. ...but for some reason, this tower was demented. Tempest didn't expect any less. Yet, he didn't appreciate the warping from level to level. "This is the tower of Valkien, one of the most mysterious places on the planet. No one knows what's at the top and no one has ever returned to speak of what it is like within. There are great magicks and traps at work here as well, which is the reason why it's so difficult to reach the top. No one even knows how many floors exist."
Ari popped into the conversation as soon as Tempest finished speaking. "A friend of ours claims that something is hidden at the top of the tower and says that she needs it. She recently got drafted by her cousin to escort him somewhere but we decided that since we had nothing better to do, we'd help her find what she's looking for. Originally we got a nice start but-- "
"--Ari's been tripping around traps ever since," the male finished for her. Ari gave him an apologetic smile, a sweatdrop forming on her forehead. Tempest rolled his eyes, sighing as he studied the stairs leading down. "Since we've been here before, there's no reason to return back down... we're going to have to head on up and hope that Ari--" He gave her a glare. "--doesn't knock the both of us into a warp again."
"Heheh..." Ari laughed sheepishly, turning as she heard a familiar voice. "Kapu! How nice to see you. You've... changed," she said, though not in an unpleasant tone. "Nice outfit, though I promise I'm not chasing you. We hardly know where we--"
"--we're on the 37th floor, damn it!" Tempest cut in quickly, refusing to be reminded that he didn't know where he was going. He did. Sorta. He didn't like the "emo" comment too much, though he brushed it out of his mind easily enough. No need to get flustered over something unimportant. He did mumble a few curses under his breath though, wondering what kind of guy Kapu was.
Before anything else was said, however, Kapu disappeared to the next floor. "I wonder what he's doing here anyway. Forgot to ask him. Eh?" Ari caught sight and sound of another man who plopped onto the floor unconsciously. "Oh no! Who is he?" She rushed over to his side. "Do either of you guys know him? He seems to be alright... no major injuries."

Kriven waited for Kapu to leave earshot before, more or less speaking aloud said, "Geez, you turn into a demonic beast once, accidentally destroy someone's house. And you're marked for life."
He turned to Ari and the man who had fallen to the ground. The man looked unfamiliar to Kriven, but he wasn't very good with names anyway. He crossed the room, to get a good look at the man's face before he completely decided that he didn't know who this man was, or why he decided to fall to the ground without warning.
"Think someone injected a poison into him?" Kriven asked, poking the fainted man with his foot.
