Ariane blinked at Omio. First 'adepts' and now a man from the future. Partway through the man's story, Ariane's mind blocked it out as it was more than she could handle. He seemed genuine at least, and he said he had lots of money. The mercenary placed her hand on Nicodemus's shoulder, "I'm all ready to go, so I'll wait for you at the edge of town." Ariane walked out the door, looking over her shoulder and gave Nicodemus both a wink and a wave.

Whisper and Helen came back, "we're ready!" said Whisper with a big bag on his back and he sprinted outside again. Helen was a bit dreaming around and she went to sit down.

"Okay then. C'mon, Helen." said Nicodemus walking outside. As he exited the Inn, he looked around. "Everyone ready to go?" He looked around again, seeing the nods, then said "All right, let's go. To Champa!"

((me edits since mistake has been corrected))
"Well to Madra first," Ariane winked at Nicodemus as she took the lead. She took them along the coast, the fastest way there. It wouldn't take the group long to get there, especially if they went at a good fast pace. All of them appeared to be in good shape, as they were all warriors. It took Ariane twice as long to get from Madra to Alfahra, but she had to deal with a whole family unaccostumed to travel. The mercenary only hoped that they wouldn't run into anything along the way.

Omio left with Ariane and Nicodemus. "Okay, since we're leaving, you may want to be a little more cautious outside of town. There's going to be a 15% increase of monsters in about 4 days." Omio slipped his voice to himself again. "If my data is right, that is..."

Ariane mentally rolled her eyes, "All of us can fight, and the monsters here aren't that bad. I just came from Madra with a family who couldn't fight and they never got a scratch from a monster. We'll be fine." She continued to walk on. Tugging Nicodemus's sleeve she whispered in his ear, "Can you use that, um, 'power' of yours to fight?"

Nicodemus nodded and smiled. "Of course. But...what you see sometimes...may actually frighten you. Attack psynergy is much more ferocious than freezing juice." said Nicodemus. He looked at Omio. "Don't worry. I have a special something that can heal akmost any wound we take. The beasts here may be big, but they're very weak." said Nicodemus. Alhafra shrunk away in the distance as the group walked though many feilds and valleys, until eventually they came to a small bridge. After crossing, they continued westward until they reached an area where the land connected with the next continent. It seemed several people were finishing a large bridge they were building there to make it easier to cross. "Ariane, what continent will we be entering now?" asked Nicodemus.

"That would be the coninent of Indra, we're very close to Madra now," Ariane pointed off to the direction of the town. She continued her some-what relaxed pace. "I've heard that Indra used to be separate from Osenia, and that a gigantic tidal wave literally pushed it into Osenia. A little far fetched, if I hadn't traveled here myself and seen the result." The people working on the bridge waved at Ariane and she waved back, it wasn't that long ago that she was in Madra. One of the men came up to her. "How's Lore and his family doing?" He asked "Oh we made it to Alhafra with no problems, he's already set up there," The mercenary smiled at her former charges' neighbor. "That's good to hear. I wish him luck, and you too." The man nodded his head towards her and her newfound companions and went back to work.

Whisper didn't knew anything about what was going on and ran off to look around on the bridge.

Nicodemus nodded back at the busy worker. "Well, let's continue going then." said Nicodemus. He walked up alongside Ariane. "Yes, I know of that flood. It swept away one of my good friends, Piers was his name. He was a good pupil of mine for some time, but he grew up with his mother and uncle just fine. Anyway, we all thought he had perished, but we were so happy to know he was alive and well, with some new companions as well. Never visited me though, I think he forgot the way to cross the water to my place...but that djinni near the entrance disappeared, I think he took that...Hmmm..." Nicodemus seemed to have gotten lost in thought for a moment, until he nearly tripped over a stone just as they crossed the bridge. Nicodemus looked off into the distance and saw another small bridge allowing access across a small river. He saw a glimmer of a town behind a small forest and nestled in the mountains; Madra was several miles away. The sun was lowering though, as they had traveled many miles from Alhafra. "Okay, I'm sure that's 'Madruh', we'll stay there tonight. It's still several miles, so let's get a move on then, eh?" said Nicodemus, rushed over nearly falling on his face.

"Pupil?" Ariane asked with her eyebrow raised, "You don't look that old." When Nicodemus nearly fell, she grabbed his arm. "Careful Nico," she teased, " Anyway, it won't take that long to Madra, but you're right. I'll rather be there before dark." She kept walking at a relaxed yet fast pace. After a few steps the mercenary began humming a tune, she always loved the beauty of the outdoors and nature.

Omio was just following behind Ariane and Nicodemus, watching out for any beasts. So far, none yet, but that was because they had just left the town area. "... Wow... a lot less monsters than--" he was cut off by a charging bear that roared. "--... Nevermind. I'll handle this one." Omio dashed over to the bear with speed, jumped, stepped on it's nose, spun around on the head of the bear, and sliced right down the back. The landing wasn't perfect. He landed on his chest painlessly. He thought to himself. Why is it that whenever I do something like that, I usually fall face DOWN...? Omio was a little embarrassed. He got up, his cheeks starting to turn red. "N-Nothing like taking a fall once in a while... hehe." the redness of his cheeks was gone. He was smiling. Omio was one of the few people that could actually laugh at himself.

Nicodemus slowed down and walked behind her. "Looks can be decieving..." thought Nicodemus quietly to himself. Suddenly, Omio killed a bear who was heading to attack the group. Nicodemus watched his attack and laughed. "Is that all you can do, young one?" asked Nicodemus, one eyebrow raised. "Tommorrow in Madra, we'll have a practise match, with wooden swords of course." requested Nicodemus, smiling. "But for now, let us continue! We have walked for many miles and long hours, and Madra is ahead." said Nicodemus, turning to follow Ariane.

Ariane stiffled a laugh as Omio fell on his face, he didn't need to be so... expressive, in his swordplay. She learned from experience that the less you have to use, the better on the body. Speed and agility are nice to have, but why move ten feet and cut twice when you can get the job done with just one and half the space? But she could tell that Omio did have talent with a blade. Perhaps a spar with him would be fruitfull as well.
