"uagh!" Moses lept into the air as soon as he heard the voice behind him. As he landed, feet away from where he started, he twirled around, drawing a spear at the same moment, readying to lauch it at a moments notice.
Giet had also lept back when heared the blade touch Moses. Bearing down to the ground, Giet growled at the attacker, ready to leap.
Moses stared at the person that was, until just recently, behind him. Readiying for anything, Moses heard and saw the person start giggling, before standing back straight and serious. Moses stood up straight, dropping his spear out of throwing position. /me huh? He thought, as he stratched his head.

Aleu stuck her tounge out at Moses, making a little "Nyeeehhh!" sound before returning to the blue world that accompanied time dilation.
"Whoo," she said to herself, even though she didn't hear it. She walked behind Moses again, and, lifting a stick from the ground, stopped her spell and prodded him in the back. "Silly."

Moses lept forward again. he twirled around, and didn't hesitate this time. "Lone Wolf!" He yelled. As he hurled his spear forward, Energy resebling a wolf's head, with the spearhead coming out of its mouth, shot forward along with the spear, straight at the other person.

Aleu effortly brough time to (as close to) a halt (as she could). The spear was moving quickly, yes, but in this blue world, it was of little consequence. She took a moment to examine it; it was quite pretty, before stepping in front of Moses and leaving the spear behind her.
"Boo!" she said happily, when everything had returned to normal.

Moses skidded back a few feet. The spear barreled into a tree, almost piercing it. /me That person just....... i don't know what happened. He thought. Giet bared up and was ready to leap. "Giet! Wait!" He yelled, his eyes not leaving the other person. Giet looked up at Moses, procedding to stand up and un-bare his teeth. Moses wasn't the smartest person out there, but he could tell when he was being messed with. (sometimes). He turned his head to the side and scratched it, looking around. He opened his mouth to speak, but shut it. He looked around again, at people giggling and staring at him. "Who the....?" He started. "How did.....?" he stopped, searching for the right question. "What's going on here?"

Aleu bopped him gently on the nose. "It's so fun screwing with people like that," she said happily, her blistered back forgotten in light of current events. "Y'see, little poor new guy," Aleu quipped, going blue and walking behind Moses. "I can do some handy things with time, and that's what's been screwing you over."
She sighed in her head. This was a rather nice ability to have. She wasn't sure how long it'd last, though; presumably until her injuries healed... The teen couldn't help but think that they were linked together. The fact that she lost her ability to heal and cast most of her spells immediatly after being hurt, and that this time-warping feature had developed at the same time didn't help any opposing cases.

Moses sighed as she disapeared again, presumably behind him. Her voice confirmed that. /me Is She just gonna keep messin' with me, or are we gonna get to some point in all this? He turned around, yet again. "I'm getting kinda tired of this. Are we gonna get anywhere with this? Who are you? And, who are they?" He said pointing around. " And what are you all doing here?" Giet paced around Moses, eyeing everyone around the clearing. /me I got some power o' my own, but if push come to shove, this is gonna get ugly. He though to himself. /me Though i never knew anyone to kill over bacon. He though relieving to himself, then spying the spear inplanted in the tree. /me Oh yeah, that, could be hard to get around...

"Are you two quite done?" a voice echoed out from a nearby tree.
Terix had perched himself on a nearby branch, swinging his feet absently as he watched Aleu and Moses go to blows. "Aren't you two bored yet?" he calls out, clearly bored himself. "All that's going to happen is that you with the spear are going to break something, and Aleu is going to end up getting in trouble with her time-freezing skills." The quarter-elf reclines back into the branches, watching the rest with passive disinterest. Bleh, at least Cyrus is entertaining... ish...
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Cyrus, indeed, was being entertaining. He found himself boostjumping through trees, dodging birds and squirrels as he collected things from the branches. Nuts, fruits, assorted tree flowers (the former for eating, the latter for Ari); nothing escaped his careful examination. ...or as careful as an examination could be at the speed of the wind. After collecting an armful of random things, he landed on the roof with a soft FUMPH and begin to organize. Pounded nuts, 'specially the acorns, make a good flour... sliced fruit for flavor, maybe soaked in concentrated fruit juice for flavor... ooh, and the flowers. That'll be wonderful...
«Cyrus!» Terix' mindvoice cut through his mental haze like a knife, nearly knocking the quarter-elf off the roof.
What? he thought back, straining to keep the distraction out of his thoughts.
«Who's this new guy? He's shaking a spear at Aleu like he's some sort of tough stuff, but he's getting his head handed to him by her timespells...»
How should I know? he calls back irritably. I haven't been paying attention..
«Oh right,» comes Terix' teasing response. «You've been too busy finding presents for your girlfriend...»
The treeborne Terix, despite being several dozen meters away, was still hard-pressed to dodge the sudden and furious onslaught of acorns from the house's roof. «Hah! You throw like a girl!» he taunted again, his jibe earning him a sharp hazelnut between the eyes and knocking him off his perch.
Terix grumbled softly as he righted himself, saved from a nasty fall only by a thick patch of branches beneath him. «Note to self, don't taunt brother over girlfriend,» he thoughtmurmured; it was only as the walnut connected to his temple that he remembered that the mindlink was still open.
«...ow.»

Amaro then appeared beside Ari, many times his usual size, "Need a lift?" He asked as he expertly swished Ari and Kara up on his back. The kitsune, now half as much taller than Noishe and twice in bulk, then ran off with his passengers and was gone in a flash. A minute or so, and a few miles, later the trio found themselves at a peaceful pond where an angel practiced with her throwing daggers. Shiori also had a new look. She had her hair down, although she still had braides scattered throughout her hair. She wore a black, sleeveless top under her long purple trenchcoat with the shoulders cut out. Her black skirt with blue trim reached her knees. The girl tossed another dagger at her enflamed target, freezing it solid. Shiori turned as she heard Amaro approach. "Oh! Hello guys! What are you guys doing here?" Shiori flipped her hair over her shoulder as she addressed the trio. Ari blinked. "Thanks for the ride, Amaro," she said, the pup still in here arms. The half-elf looked around, setting Kara down for a few moments. The calm air around the pond provided the perfect training station. No distractions. Ribbit. Except for that frog on the lily pad. "So, what is this place?"

Post by Omio on Aug 4, 2006 15:46:46 GMT -6
Omio was a frozen glacier for a while at the top of the mountain for a while now. The cooking that Genis did managed to melt the snow underneath Omio good enough for the ice to roll down and hit a tree. The ice broke, but it didn't hit anyone. Moses' spear happened to be in the same tree and it fell out. Omio was the only thing that didn't break into shards. But it was obvious he was just unconcious. After being frozen for about 1.8 months, no wonder Omio is unconcious.
((I'm getting myself into this. Assuming in the previous one, I got frozen.))

Aleu stuck her tongue out at Terix. "You're no fun," she said plainatively. "And it's not freezing, it's more like, time-molassassing. If you get my drift." She shrugged.
"Anyway, I'm not mad or anything," she said, sauntering over to the pan and lifting it up. "It just gets boring with people like him..." Here she shot Terix a glare. "Around all the time." She passed the pan to him. "No hard feelings, eh?"

"eh?" Moses said weakly. Moses had no clue what was going on. Quickly he sat, well, more like fell into a sitting position, and giet came a lay beside him. "phew." He said, laying down. "I though i'd have some trouble on my hands." He closed his eyes and quickly started to nod off.
Soon after he shot back into a sit, remembering where he was. "So, who are all you? and what're yall doing here?" /me Now that that situation is covered, i hope something fun comes outa this! he thought.

"Blah blah blah," Terix shot back. He launched himself from the branch without so much as a care... surprising in and of itself, considering that the teen now faced a two- to three-story drop. He landed with a brittle CRUNCH, standing and dusting himself off.
...the reason he could stand was that he had not made the crunching sound. The crunch had come from the now brittle ground beneath him.
Y'see, something you need to know is that Terix is a psion, what most people call telepaths. But his is a very particular skill. Where most people (as well as an adjective like "most" can apply to the few telepathic people around) control solid matter with their minds, things like rocks, cars, buildings, etc., Terix manipulates energy. Any kind of energy. The energy that holds your body together, the electricity in lightning bolts, the lasers in a robot's blasters, so on. But all work requires energy; the manipulation of energy, especially so. Usually he either draws it from other things, or he draws it from his own stores of mental energy.
But how does this explain how he's not a pancake? Simple. He drew energy from the ground beneath him, as fuel to slow his own body's energy. As such, he hit the ground at a mere four miles an hour, no harder than had he stepped off the front porch.
...Anyway. Enough with the chit-chat.
Terix quickly makes his way over to the cooking fire, watching the bacon hungrily. "Any food for me?"
