I never got this and I'm almost done with the game for the third time. What are they? Like....do you get different abilities? How do I control them? I never got this much... = /

Each EX Skill has a certain alignment, T or S. S type skills focus more on single, powerful attacks, and come from EX skills that usually have some out of battle effect or something like more HP. T types focus more on multiple, weaker attacks (good for combos) and come from Ex skills that enable more inbattle things, like Taunt.
Now, there's a little meter on the status screen saying what alignment your character is, T or S. Depending on which way they lean, the techs they learn are different. For example, if they lean towards S, Lloyd will learn Hunting Beast. If you lean to T, then Lloyd learns Raging Beast. Only one of them can be known at a time. You can have Raging Beast, but cannot learn Hunting Beast unless you forget Raging Beast and move to S type.
You change your alignment by the types of Ex skills you have and the number of each type you have. IE, 2 T Ex Skills and 1 S Ex skill will make you lean to T.

There's a Tech Glitch so that you can learn all the techs at the same time, but I'm betting most of you here already know what it is XD Or maybe not...WHO WANTS TO KNOW IT?

and a bit of a suggestion... Raine doesn't work well as an S skill type, as i've noticed. I tried a playthrough with her learning S skills, but it wasn't that great... her healing abilities can't be used on more than one person at a time, which isn't so great when you're in boss battles (ESPECIALLY against Abyssion) when you absolutely NEED to heal everyone quickly after a devastating attack.
She has an S skill that can heal someone to their max HP, but her T-skill Revitalize is a real lifesaver.
And also, if you want to use the (i think) strongest unison skill, Genis and Raine MUST be T-types. It's called Prism Stars. Genis has to use some high level elemental magic... like explosion or tidal wave, and Raine has to use Ray. I found it useful in cutting down Abyssion's HP quickly ;D

Yeah. Agreed. I never had her as an S type, because I love Revitalize waaaaaaay to much...Even if Cure does restore 100% of ONE person's HP, it's only one person.
EDIT: Okay, I'll go look for it. I'LL BE BACK!!! *punches hand in the air*
EDIT...AGAIN!!!
TECH GLITCH!!!
I DO NOT OWN THIS!!! I FOUND IT IN A GUIDE ON GAMEFAQS TITLED "TECHNIQUE FAQ"!!! YOU MAY NOT SUE ME!!!
We use Genis as an example.
1. First, have Genis on the T-side, right near the center of the meter. Make sure he knows Thunder Blade and has used it at least 50 times. 2. Put any character other than Genis in the first slot of your active party. Set Thunder Blade to C-Up or C-Down, then switch the character out of your active party. Generally speaking, whenever performing the glitch, you should do this with the Technique you won't end up knowing. 3. Switch Genis over to be S-Type, forget Thunder Blade, and learn Spark Wave. 4. Switch Genis back to the T-Type. Once he's there, save. 5. Switch the character you set Genis' Thunder Blade to into the first slot of your active party again. DO NOT SAVE OR LOOK AT THE CHARACTER'S TECHNIQUE LIST AFTER DOING THIS! 6. Enter a battle, preferably a hard one. It helps to set everyone to do nothing to keep the computer from ending the battle early. 7. Use the C-stick to make Genis spam Thunder Blade, which he can miraculously still use, until he re-learns Indignation. Watch the total 00berness. If Genis doesn't learn Indignation in this battle, it will disappear from your C-stick command and not be usable. If this happens, repeat from step 5 until he learns it. 8. After the battle, ta-da!, Genis will know Spark Wave and Indignation! If you do this for many elements, he can even learn the focused S-type spells as well as the level 3 T-type spells.
I REPEAT I DO NOT OWN THIS!!!

Pwn...
I had an idea... equip Mystic Runes to Genis (2 of them. Each reduce casting by 30%, therefore a total of 51% decrease in casting time). Then equip Dash&Spell keep (interuption reduces cast time), or speed cast. Thereby you earn Spell Voltage, reducing the casting time for the spell last cast if you cast it again. Then equip Combo Plus and Spell Charge to get Spell Enhance, allowing you to begin another spell while the one you just cast is preforming.
Then you spam fireball like crazy. If my theory works, you might be able to cast fireball, and then shoot off another while the first fireballs are on the way. Thereby infinite combo. ((Think abbyssion))

It wouldn't work, unless you are extremely lucky to get the succession of continuously, something will interupt it.
