The tree was named....hmm.....I need to find that dang manga...I have it somewhere...I am sure it was named as Symphonia...I know corny, but the Jap name was called something else....The tree was represent of the unity of the three worlds...and it does go into another To Game...I thing it was TOL or TOR.....or maybe TOE.......I am a little forgetful of things.

Namco announced that ToS was a prequel to ToP, and the tree is almost definitely called Yggdrasil, unless there's two mana trees (which there aren't). And the reason it is called Yggdrasil, was because it was Mithos' and Martel's last name, both people who wanted equality for all, it's just that Mithos' perspective of equality was perversely twisted into a plot to bring back his sister.

Ah yes... when people start talking about storylines vs. timelines it gets very interesting (like when people try to figure out the timeline order of the Legend of Zelda games ^_^)

Please. Never mention Zelda timeslines to me again. I will explode in confusion. It's vauge for a reason though... it's so the creators can stick in another game wherever they feel like. I've only played ToS so I don't know the other games but it might be the same situation, they leave it vauge for future games. Also, the characters didn't really consider Mithos a bad guy... just a little(or a lot) whacked in the head. Mithos wanted discrimination to end. It was the differences in everyone that people discriminated against. If everyone was the same, they had nothing to discriminate against, right? <---Mithos' line of thinking. We know that is not true, just look around you. We're all human and we still discriminate (our definition of "race" is the bloody color of your skin). The group still considered Mithos a friend even after they killed him (Genis took the Cruxis Crystal with him after they thought they killed Mithos so he could show Mithos the true regenerated world. Another example is what Lloyd says at the end battle screen after he defeats Mithos for the final time) I'll say more.... but Krato4028 already beat me to it.
