"Oh shi-," Kysho managed to mutter before the creaking of the door opening cut him off. The spear from ahead was nearing, and the brunette thief used all his last strength to summon up a roll into the compartment. He bumped into Jukka's legs right near the door, and was inside just enough for the crackling spear outside to knick his scarf, sizzling its fringes, and scarring Kysho for life.
Staring up a Jukka, who had a bewildered expression on his face at the suddenness of Kysho's entrance, Kysho's eyes widened, as if he was a child and Jukka had just fixed his prized toy train. The whole ordeal that happened not at all long ago seemed to be erased from his mind after what had just occurred now. "HOLY CRAP YOU SAVED MY LIFE," Kysho proclaimed loudly, "I almost died, man! I love you in a totally-non-sexual way- closethefreakin'door!" Getting to his hands and knees, with a quick crawl Kysho hustled to the door to slam it shut, fumbling to quickly lock it securely. A sigh breezed past his lips as he leaned back on the door, letting himself slide back down to the ground to sit. "Holy crap, that thing out there scared the living hell's muffins out of me..."
As Ceileuse groggily came back to consciousness, the piercing screaming from Kysho being a great help, he blinked his eyes as the compartment came slowly into focus. Some people were laying about still knocked out, and he began to worry about them. Dismissing Kysho's continuous racket, the auburn haired manakete struggled to get to his feet and shuffled over to Kapu and Ailyse, still not awake yet. "Hey guys, you should probably get up now," he mumbled, shaking their shoulders gently. "I have a feeling something's gonna happen soon, and you'd best want to be awake when the action starts..."
((Kysho amuses me to no end. xD))

-zwing!- The red bolt blazed past the door, burying itself into the floor with a powerful thunk. As the glow faded, the group could see that there was no material spear; it had been a purely energetic attack. An echoing giggle. "A door? Just a door? How cute! those won't stop me, silly. At least," it said, now with an edge of cold malice in its tone. "Not in my lair."
The sickened members of the party, now just starting to feel better, lifted their heads to feel a blast of cold air tear through the room. "Move!" David kicked Jukka hard in the side, throwing him against the wall, and combined the motion with a half turn and a sword swing. "Gae bolg!" Blue light crackled through the air, and for a brief moment everyone saw a shimmering, spinning arc of rainbow light shoot from the arc of his swing towards the woman, who was standing placidly in the center of the room.
Calming stepping to one side, she snatched the attack out of the air with one hand. In her grasp, the light faded, showing a metallic boomerang-like contraption with small colored crystals bound to its edge. She turned it over slowly with an appraiser's expression on her face. "I wonder, dear friend," she whispered. "Where you could have learned this? I suppose our dirty little secret got out, eh?" David's expression tightened.
Now that she was in plain view, it was easy to get a good look at her. She was noticeably short, clad in a white nightdress with a small, poofy hat to match. Her hair was a shade of dark blue, and her eyes were crimson. Two small, batlike wings grew from her back. She looked young, no later than her early twenties, but the air with which she carried herself suggested an ancient sort of maturity.
She threw it to the side. "No matter. She is of no importance any longer." Crouching in a fighting posture, she bared pointed teeth at the group. "To the rest of you, I am so very sorry for leaving you in the dark. Allow me to explain. My name is Remilia. I require all of you for a rather pressing need of mine, one which I doubt you will take kindly to."
Around this time, Kapu and Ailyse began to stir again. "Sorry about that as well. I was hoping to clear up the matter as quickly as possible, but it appeared that not all of you are as magically inclined as I had hoped.
"In any case. I will not try and explain the details, but it suffices to say that I would be made very, very happy if all of you were to die. I hope we can work something out." With that, her hands flared, a spear appearing in one, and the other summoning an array of darts in the air around her. Remilia pounced forward, thrusting with the spear at Jukka, and blasting fire needles around the room.

It had all been quite a blur really - Kysho narrowly avoiding death and then confessing his love for him, all while some white dress wearing winged freak told them they had to die because her and David's secret was out? Jukka hadn't really caught the meaning of it all but decided it would be best to just get out alive at this point. Just as the thought crossed his mind, the small cabin ignited with the light of many fire darts which were violently flying erratic paths around the compartment. Needless to say, it was a good enough distraction for Remilia to lunge at Jukka spear first.
The side of the spear brushed Jukka's left side - just above his hip. Her aim was slightly off, thankfully. Jukka's hands flew to his side - a deep gash had formed and seemed to be bleeding. He would have to worry about it later. His hands found the handle of the spear, and he pushed back with as much strength as he could. He couldn't really see what was going on, in between the flashes of light from exploding fire darts and the dull red glow of the cavern, it was like looking into some freaky colored strobe light.
He released the spear handle, hoping he had at least some distance between him and Remilia, and quickly rolled to the other side of the cabin to stand by the others who were still feeling sick. His hand reached around and grabbed his combat spear, part of him hoping for a more fair fight between him and Remilia.

Aleu scrambled against the wall, grabbing Kapu's arm and lifting him off the ground. "Come on, Kapu..." He was awake, but limp; whatever Remi had done had taken quite a toll on Kapu. Aleu put an arm around her brother as he struggled to stand on his own, and handing him his fallen weapon with the other. "I'll take this," she said to him, with an encouraging pat on the back. "There's not enough room, and I've been wanting to try out my new toy."
Opening her hand, a small, shimmering flicker of blue rose from Aleu's palm, coalescing into a set of double waves circling around each other. "Alrighty. Get her!" The little wave spun in acknowledgment, then reshaped itself into an arrow that blasted towards Remi.
Meanwhile, Remi had caught Jukka's spear while he thrust, and simply pulled it into her grasp when he released the shaft. "Oh, come on, that's no fun," she said with a laugh, throwing it back at him. She held her own weapon pointing at him, the red glow around it beginning to grow brighter. "At least give me a good show." Remilia spun around, and in that one motion, knoecked the little blue thing out of the way, threw the spear at Ailyse, and lunged towards Jukka, enveloping herself in red mist and whirling through the air.
Kapu, meanwhile, had spread out Whirr and slammed it through the thin metal of the train's floor. He ducked down behind and grabbed Aleu's free hand, hiding and chanting quietly.

The blue shimmer zipped into the path of the spear and reformed itself in a glowing ball. It pulsed brightly and melted the red bolt as it blasted through, leaving only a few sparkles to fade away in front of Ailyse's face.
At the same time, there was a sound of splitting air as Serene swung her broadsword heavily, catching Remi as she spun towards Jukka. With a little laugh, the demon clutched at the blade, whirled over it and dove along its length to swing a claw at Serene, missing her chest by a few inches and instead raking a set of rips in the fabric of the seat. She grabbed onto the chair and flipped around, settling into a crouch on top of the backrest.
"That's better, dear," she said, smiling widely. The fabric of the chair tore open as another set of darts ripped through, spreading shotgun-style around the room. Remilia vaulted off of the chair to grab onto the wall, then dive-bomb at Cei.

A shred of white rose from the floor, intercepting Remelia and sending her into an angry crouch on the ground. Kapu peeked over the top of Whirr to give her a little grin, then folded his fan up and hefted it over a shoulder casually. "Like it?"
She was surrounded by a glowing white circle, inscribed with minute script that spun around slowly. It was gave off a haze of whitish mist which soon covered the floor, flaring up to block any of Remi's attempts at escape. She frowned at Kapu with distaste. "Something like this isn't quite fair, you know."
Kapu smiled tightly. "Never said it had to be." The letters were swirling faster now, and the mist was practically pouring off of the circle. Some of it began to coalesce in the center, forming a bright white spot that began expanding slowly. Remi cautiously stepped clear it of it. "I suppose this is what we would call an unfavorable situation," she said slowly, eyes focused on the circle.
"You could say that," Kapu replied evenly, watching the magic with equal attention. "Perhaps just a little." Gaining definition, the white center started spreading in distinct directions, forming the skeleton outline of a T shape. Taking another stab at escape, Remi stepped over the bounds of the ward, only to recoil as if she had been burned. "But you know, it's just ---"
The tinkle of breaking glass stopped him, followed by a set of glowing balls that buried themselves in the wall around his head. While trying to track its source, another set of balls exploded in front of his face, peppering him with little darts of heat.
"Crap." The distraction had been more than enough; the exorcising circle had vanished. Remi had bounded up onto a chair next to the door, in the frame of which stood a young woman, frail, sleepy-eyed, and dressed in a nightgown. An entourage of four glowing crystals orbited lazily around her head. A small, flat something (paper?) was clasped in one hand.
"Have you found yourself someone new to bicker with?" the newcomer asked, her voice airy and quiet. Remilia shrugged. "A little old, a little new. David's back." "How pleasant. I've not had the pleasure for quite some time." Nightgown looked slightly bored, though not especially: more of a continual boredom than an incidental one.
"Sorry," he said tersely, stepping slowly away from the two. His hand still gripped his sword tightly. "It would have been longer, had I known what you were planning for this train."
"No need," said the new girl, looking towards the rest of the group. "Those are the new ones... watch that one for me," said Remilia, gesturing at Kapu. "He's an exorcist." "...indeed."

Jukka was crouched in the corner of the compartment with a dead grip on his spear. He knew now would be a foolish time to attack with Remilia's...friend..ally..whatever she was, in the compartment as well. And David..was he an ally of hers too?
Jukka scanned the compartment..everything was in a complete state of disarray. The "safe room"'s contents had been thrown around during the battle and were now lying in pieces, mixed with other broken things. All the combatants looked shocked - the large display of power from one person was something they had probably never seen before. Or that could just still be the shock of their train shooting into the stars too. Unsure, Jukka held his ground waiting for more information from Remilia and her friends.

Nightgown let her gaze trawl lazily around the room. "Just another pack of rats." She brushed her sleeves out with a pale hand, and lifted a leather-bound tome off of the ground to clasp it under an arm. "It looks like I'll have to put poison out here as well... or the cat," she said with a little sigh. "Why am I always the cat?" she asked the open compartment, reclining backwards a little to settle half-sitting midair. "Twenty-four and five. And then me." Nightgown opened her book and set it on her lap, flicking at the pages slowly. "We must have a new cat. My name is Patchouli. The rats should at least know the one that caught them." The windows were filled with a blue light before bursting inwards, showering the party with a storm of glass. Taking advantage of the brief diversion, Remilia flitted out of sight, while Patchouli waved her arm in a wide arc from left to right. The steel of the leftmost door flamed into searing white light, then imploded as a massive fireball tore through the room, lengthwise, amid melted, red-hot shrapnel. Aleu swatted the steel and glass out of the air for herself and Serene, giving her sister room to launch herself off the chair into the air, then rebound off the ceiling towards Patchouli. Revolving once, she swung two-handed with a sword in each, only to pound uselessly against something pitch black that rose up in front of her. Remilia threw her bat-like wings open, tossing Serene backwards with a grin. "Too bad~!" She feinted once then arced over her head, landing circularly to swipe a set of bloody claws at Cei. Meanwhile, Kapu dove to one side, rolling towards the side of the compartment and halting himself by slamming Whirr into the wall. He dragged it around and opened it as he swung, spinning a burst of wind through the room. Patchouli looked at him casually out of the corner of her eyes and waved the spiral of air out of existence. "Quaint, little rat. Quaint." She raised a hand to touch the yellow crystal, and then the red, of the set that revolved around her head. At her touch they burst it into a set of bright lightning bolts running on streaks of fire that blasted through the room.
