Meanwhile, something catches Remede's eye in the distance-- a rustling in the bushes. I know I should be making my way to Hedron... yet I'm afraid my curiousity has gotten the best of me. From the group, she inches towards the greenery, eyes narrowing on the distracting shrubs. Hm... As she moves closer, a hand lingers near the katana at her waist, ready to be drawn at any sign of a possible threat.
Her eyes narrow, hand drifting above the hilt of her blade. One final step and... a white dove flaps out of the bushes up to the skies. Whew. Didn't think there would be any danger in a place like Celidon anyway... It seems too hidden and well protected. I doubt anything other than inhabitants and creatures of sorts can be found here.

Lucifer hears the flutter and draws his sword from his back. The huge blade was swung with ease, since he has trained with it most his life. After seeing it was a dove he re-attach it to his back strap and continues down the path.

Remede noticed Lucifer, who also appeared extremely alert and in tune with his surroundings. That is one large sword... and he wields it so easily too. What strength. After taking one last look at the graceful dove fluttering in the sky, she trots along the path, tucking her dark hair behind her ears as she went. I wonder how far this Hedron is anyway...

Lucifer looks at Remede while putting his sword away. Lucifer was never the sociable one, but there was something about Remede, "I see you are pretty tuned in with your surroundings. Though you seem to be more nervous than calm with you surrounding. Why is that?" Lucifer removes his mask while asking the question.

Ah... so we finally see the man behind the mask. Remede's soft eyes gleamed. "Nervous? Did I seem so? Perhaps I am a bit uptight, but certain events have been taking place lately. One must be on his guard. Even in a peaceful place like this." She crossed her arms. "You look like a seasoned warrior. What are you doing here?"

Lucifer looks at her, cross-armed. "Yes, there is reason to be alert, but being alert also means to be able to conceal one's nervousness." Lucifer turns and looks at a tree. "I am here on a search for one man. One single man that has put me down this path. The man who murdered my family. I only live with my sister now." Lucifer looks away and places the mask back on. "My past is my future."

Remede bows her head in response. "I am sorry to hear that... if it helps to know, I've lost my family as well." She looks up at Lucifer for a second, as he puts on his mask. "And you've come here in hopes of seeking revenge? I can understand the logic. Although I must also say that blood shed only creates more blood. Choose your path wisely."

Lucifer looks back at Remede. "My path for vengence has already been cleared." He leans against a tree "in my quest for vengence I lost my brother in the mist. I saw such bloodshed that I vowed to not bring anymore bloodshed. My sister has a illness. She has only a few years to live and I am searching for the cure. I came here since this land is one of the most knowledgable on magic, and with the nature here, I am hoping to find it." While finishing this sentence he removes his sleave. "This is from the life I once lived." The arm was gashed, there were holes in areas and burns that were blacker than night. "Power comes with a price." Lucifer turns to continue walking.

"Oh?" Remede tilts her head to the side for a brief moment. "Agreed. Power is, indeed, pricy. But a charge too many are willing to pay." She continues her slow-paced trip towards the center of town, glancing at the curious warrior every once in a while. There's more to him than that... I can feel it.

Lucifer covers his arm and looks at Remede. He continues down the path.

Two more bridges and a platform later, a sign informs them that they've reached the Hedron. A massive wooden platform, easily 200 meters square, lies suspended before them. In the middle of it grows a massive sycamore tree. Set among the leaves and branches sits —or rather, grows— a massive council building. A single, balanced scale of burnished bronze, the sole piece of metal in the city, lies perched atop the entrance arch.
The doors lie open. Enter?

Lucifer walks through the open door with no hesitation.

After a few seconds of utter amazement, Remede collects herself and strides inside after Lucifer.

Before him lies a massive hall, grown of solid wood.
Yes, grown.
The entire chamber still glows a soft green as the druidic enchantments continue their hold on the wood of the structure. Even as you enter you see two new chairs slowly growing, now no more than halfback stools next to their armchair cousins.
A massive table, also solid wood, runs the length of the chamber. Two doors lead off from the chamber, one to a back room, and one out the back door to a clearing of sorts built into the trees.
From the back room hobbles an aged, decrepit man. A knotted stick in his hands serves as a walking staff, helping him to support his weight as he moves into the room. He sneezes once, wincing, then turns to face you.
"Greetings." His voice echoes in the chamber, somehow deeper and stronger than you would expect from this old man. "Welcome to our Council. I am Sartoris, Chief Elder of Celidon."

Lucifer enters to see a old man standing in the center of the room. "You must be Sartoris." Lucifer looks at the old man, in his grown house. The house was literally growing, the chairs were imbedded into the tree and the shelves were extensions from the branch.
