Ok, I might go with him but odds are you won't accept him. Although, Genis did accept Nightmare as a character for Lloyd, so... Name: Turen Darastrixia Race: Dragonkin Gender: Male Weapon: Reference Picture Appearance: Reference Picture Does he work? If yes, would you like a character bio? They tend to be long-winded, so I figured "ask first." -f0n9

Trying to light the elemental lighthouses. Eh? Sorry it just reminds me of something. Name: Kasu Age: 25 Race: Unknown ((But looks like an elf.)) Gender: Female Weapon Type: Staff Extra Info/Description: I'll draw a piccy Piccy here: img343.imageshack.us/img343/5109/blueperson8gg.pngPffft were do I begin? At 3 1/2 Kasu was abandoned by her mother, and found by someone called Nesa. She died when Kasu was 8. Kasu lived alone in Nesa's house until she was 13, when the house got burnt down. Kasu got scared and ran. She had a pouch with a small pot of water, when she ran. She kept the same pot of water for 4 years in that pouch, but then she lost it, and she went a bit crazy. When she was 20 she regained sanity, and collected water in pots. Finally at the age of 24 she returned to normal society.

Hmm... where do I begin.
Dragonkin are a race of what are commonly referred to as "monstrous humanoids," human-like creatures who are shunned by normal humans for their freakish appearance and power. They typically reside in high mountain roosts, living in clans, tribes, and on occasion, fiefdoms.
Due to their draconic heritage (dragonkin are anywhere from 1/4 to 1/32 dragonblooded; true dragons can shapeshift into any form, even human, which has occasionally led to them bedding mortal humans), they are eagerly sought after by dragons as bodyguards, servants, lower vassals, or even minions.
A point I must clear up is the difference between a wyvern and a dragon. Dragons have four legs, a set of wings, a catlike bone structure which belies their reptilian appearance, and most importantly, intelligence. Wyverns are what most consider to be dragons: two- or four-legged flying reptiles that have little intelligence and are quite belligerant. These are what have seen prominantly in "dragon attacks" on villages and armies, and have earned recent fame as Rodyle's pets and couriers. These are not true dragons, for three reasons.
1) They are not truly intelligent, as no self-respecting dragon would permit itself to be enslaved by anything; 2) Aside from their breath weapons, they are incapable of magic; Dragons, as any well-rounded wizard can tell you, were the first harnessers of magic. This is why most ancient tomes of magic are written in an almost-indecipherable language called "Draconic;" Draconic is the language of the Dragons. 3) They have no language, culture, or a need for the two; true Dragons are highly intelligent, have a culture (although often no cities), and, as mentioned before, have the language of Draconic.
True Dragons (henceforth simply "Dragons") live in solitary arrangements, coming together only to mate or in alliance against a common enemy. There are two groups: Chromatic (commonly regarded as "evil" Dragons) and Metallic (the "good" Dragons). The difference, besides scale patterns, is also in their philosophy. Chromatic Dragons have no problems with slaves and servants, and care little for the well-being of creatures around them; Metallic Dragons see themselves as a race of guardians, protectors, and in rare cases even teachers.
Now then, with that matter aside, we return to the topic at hand: Turen. Turen, at the age of 104 (Draconic post-adolescence; Dragonkin spend the first 100 years in or near the parents' lair, and typically live to be over 1,000), became one of the servants of a Chromatic Dragon, a Black Dragon by the name of Vorast. Despite the evil nature of the Dragon, draconic minions are typically well-paid, kept relatively safe between missions, and are prized positions among the Dragonkin race.
During one of his missions for Vorast, Turen ran into a traveling half-elf named Kalia. Turen (for reasons he still cannot fathom) rescued her from a bandit attack; the two soon became, if not friends, at least close acquaintances. The two kept in contact over the years, and their friendship slowly grew.
It was on one of their meetings, after Turen's latest friendship, that Vorast found out about them. He, having the typical disdain for non-dragons that all Chromatic Dragons are born with, was not happy with their relationship; Turen was able to persuade him to let her go, saying she had been helping him with his missions. The idea of increased productivity was something Vorast liked. He allowed her to live.
Their friendship continued to grow, and their meetings became more frequent and longer. Unfortunately, as with all good things... something is bound to go wrong. It did. On the way home from one mission, Turen was waylaid by a band of thieves. He escaped unscathed, but not only was he two hours late in returning... the treasure he had been sent to retrieve had been damaged in the fight. This was too much for Vorast; the only reason he had tolerated this half-elf was because she had been helping him complete his missions better. Now, not only was he late, but his prize had been damaged?! This was too much. An example had to be made.
«To be continued in my next post, because I can fit no more...»
