An odd idea, a Fire Emblem game that takes place in the Zelda universe...
Well, here's the story so-far:
When the game begins you meet Link, a member of a group known as the Bombers. The Bombers are local protection for the three neighboring villages, Epona, Dimitri, and Moosh. Another village nearby, Ricky, is home to the Young Bombers. Link has inherited a charm of unknown origin from his recently demised father, who told him to guard it with his life (Triforce of Courage.) Link and the other four members of the Bombers: Maple, a young fire mage, Tingle is the groups archer, Saria is the healing unit and their Axe-Wielding leader Mido. They've been called to Epona, where a group of Gerudo bandits are terrorizing the town.
Once in Epona, you learn that this is the town that Link was raised in, and he holds it dear as it is the site of his fathers grave. The battle begins and the Bombers manage to defeat Kotake, the fire-casting leader of this particular group. They return to their base only to be confronted by a group who call themselves the Young Bombers. The Young Bombers explain that they are from the nearby village of Ricky, and have travelled here to test their strength against the real Bombers. After defeating all five of the Young Bombers, their leader, Jim, a young archer, decides that the Young Bombers still have much to learn and leads the group back to Ricky to practice.
The next morning the Bombers are confronted with a fading messenger from Mooshi who was on his way to the capital of Hyrule. His wounds are to deep, and his last wish is for the Bombers to alert the capital of an invading force from Termina destroying Mooshi. Maple is sent to alert the Princess while the other four members of the Bombers rush to Mooshi and engage in battle with the Terminian soldiers, led by Odalwa, who wields a mysterious sword with fire qualaties.
After the defeat of General Odlwa, the Bombers are declared enemies of the Terminian empire themselves, but in Mooshi they are honored as heroes. Princess Zelda appears to congradulate the group. Zelda thanks Link and the Bombers (though Mido takes all the credit) for their excellent performance and requests that Impa, her loyal guard, pay the Bombers for their troubles. After a small town feast, the Bombers return home.
But they do not find rest, as they return to their base Maple swoops in at a panic. She says she flew over Ricky on her way to the capital and the city is under siege by another band of Gerudo's, with the Young Bombers attempting to hold them off. When they arrive in Ricky, most of the city is burned to the ground and Jim is battling the Gerudo's himself, attempting to defend the bodies of his fallen allies. The Bombers rush over and give Jim the assistance he needs in defeating the remaining Gerudos. After defeating the Lightning-Mage, Koume, who was enraged at the death of her sister, the town of Ricky holds a funeral for the Young Bombers, and bury them in the center of town with a memorial staute of the Young Bombers acting as their tombstone. Link and Saria urge Jim to join the Bombers and live with them, at first Mido argues that he is to weak to be one of them, but Maple and Tingle also vote for Jim's joining the Bombers, and he accepts the invitation, swearing to one-day avenge his fallen brothers.
The next few days are quiet for the Bombers, and they enjoy their time. However, this silence is soon broken with the appearence of Vaati, a wind-mage and high ranking General of the Terminian army. He leads a force of Terminian soldiers and destroys the Bombers base, but the group flees into the forest that acts as a border between Hyrule and Forore.
In the woods they find the exhausted Kafei, who collapses at their feet. Mido, in his stubbornness, attempts to leave him there, but the other Bombers decide to help Kafei. A small scout-team of Terminian soldiers lead by General Kid, who has a reputation for wearing the skulls of his victims, earning him the nickname "Skull Kid." The Bombers are nearly defeated when a group of Hylian Knights lead by Impa appear and with their help, Skull Kid falls. Impa explains that Hyrule has declared war with Termina, and Princess Zelda asks for the Bombers assistance in this war. Link agrees to help before Mido has a chance to argue, and Impa explains that the Bombers first order of business is to gain the aid of the Deku Tribe in Gohma. She leaves Talon and Ingo, an axe and lance user respectively, to assist the Bombers.
Upon reaching Gohma, the group is allowed directly into the massive thrown room of King Mutoh. There the hot-headed and stubborn king denies them the assistance they ask for. They decide to leave, but tell Mutoh that they will return the next day to again ask for assistance. They meet Princess Pamela and General Viscen as they leave the castle. Pamela gives them room for the night in the most expensive of the inns found in Gohma. During the night they are attacked by a team of what they believe to be Deku bandits. Viscen appears and assists in defeating the bandits.
The next morning the Bombers head to King Mutoh once again asking for help, but this time the door behind them is locked and a mix of Deku and Terminian soldiers flood the throne room. Mutoh reveals that he has been allied with Termina for quite some time, but this alliance was kept secret. A battle begins with Mutoh leading the army himself. The Bombers manage to hold off the army for a while, but soon become overwhelmed. But, just before Mutoh gives the order to kill them, he is slain from behind by a blast of light magic. As he falls, it is his daughter Pamela who stands in his blood. She orders the Deku soldiers to leave the Bombers alone and evacuate the Terminian soldiers from the area.
Princess Pamela takes the throne and severs her ties with Termina, ordering the Deku Soldiers to drive Terminian warriors from Gohma. She then provides soldiers and supplies to the Bombers, as well as sending these forces to the Hyrule capital. She also asks Viscen to join the Bombers. He confesses his love to the Princess, and requests to stay in the capital to protect her. Pamela tearfully says no, and orders him again to join the Bombers, confessing that she loves him as well, but it is what is best for the country of Gohma that matters at the moment. Ingo and Talon inform the Bombers that they are now to return to Hyrule and report sucess to Princess Zelda, and await further orders.
Oh, I posted this in here because of the amount of reading it will require, and the fact that I'll be updating the main story. So it'll feel more like an under developed fic for a while.
