OMFQ! I love riddles~ <333 I've heard that wives, sacks, dogs one, 'cept it was a different version which went like this: As I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives. Each wife had seven sacks. Each sack had seven cats. Each cat had seven kits. Kits, cats, sacks, wives, How many were going to St. Ives? Wow, those last two riddles are confuzzling. :3 But I'll think about them.

Two part question:
First question: You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in? Second question: If you over take the last person in the race, you are..?

We should start a riddles thread, and post those ones in it, cause I wanna make guesses at some of these but this isn't the "Ask Mo-man" thread XD
And Ari, that St. Ives one is it, I heard a really long time ago though, So I couldn't remember and just made up words to it XD
EDIT: OOOOH!! I FIGURED OUT THE DOTS THINGY MAJIGER!
*SPOILERS*
Lets put it like this. You are person 1, and the others are 2 and 3. Everyone raises their hand, and lets say you saw that person 2 had a red dot and person 3 had a green dot. That would mean that Person 3 was raising his hand because you had a green dot, because he couldn't be raising his hand at person 2's read dot.
If that was the case, Lets say you so you had the red dot. Person 2 and 3 are both smart, and would be able to tell that the others were raising their hand because they themselves had a green dot, and the someone would speak up imediatly.
Because there was a long pause, that means that no one saw a red dot, because they would get it imediatly. Because you knew that no one had a red dot, you knew you had a green dot.
WHOO!
*end spoilaz*

Kriv, you knew that one XD And Ryuu, on the first one, your wrong. Only 1 person was going to Peru: me. The man his wives I passed by as I was walking XD They weren't going to Peru. Yeah, I'm really not good at these. Hahaha. He lived in a lighthouse. When he left and turned out the light, a boat crashed into the shore and done died. A riddle from a site that's loaded with them: Three Dots (John Banks) You are travelling in a deep, dark forest when, suddenly, on a dark and stormy night, you are captured by the kind-but-not-so-bright forest people. They keep looking at you and saying to each other, "It be a smart person!" You are marched to their village and seated in the square. Before you are blindfolded, you notice two other lucky souls seated in chairs facing you. Then you are told that the forest people king is about to die. He previously sent messengers throughout the land seeking the 3 smartest people. You are one, and two others have also been found. He now gives you all a task to see which one is the wisest. He tells you, "I have seated you in an equilateral triangle so that each of you faces the other two. While you are blindfolded I will paint a dot on each of your foreheads. Each dot will be red or green so that there can be any combination of red and green dots, for example, 1 red and 2 greens, or all red, etc. When I remove the blindfolds each of you must raise your hand if you see _any_ green dots, i.e. 1 or 2 dots. As soon as you have figured out what color your own dot is, tell me how you knew." So he paints a green dot on all three foreheads. When the blindfolds are removed, all three hands go up. After a long pause, the wisest person, (that's you!) say, "Your highness, I have a green dot. The reason I know this is that..." How did you know? Extra credit: assume there are 4 people and all have green dots... can our hero figure it out now? Hmm... because the rain in the storm caused the paint to drip onto the my clothes, dying them green, so all I'd have to do is look down slightly and see the green on my clothes. Same applies for extra credit. Now to go read Mo's answer. =3 ... ...oh, reading that, I did think something similar, but I couldn't figure out how to word it, so I just thought of something else. XD He's probably right, though . Two part question: First question: You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in? It's probably wrong(because it's too easy if that is the answer), but pole position. There are two possiblities. You are either A: still losing. or B: winning really hard.

Actually, I don't think that's it... didn't Shiro say that all three foreheads were painted with green dots..? "So he paints a green dot on all three foreheads" And the answer to my first question: You're in second place. Second one: You can't overtake the last person, sillies! XD

Actually, I don't think that's it... didn't Shiro say that all three foreheads were painted with green dots..? "So he paints a green dot on all three foreheads" The point that because EVERYONE hesitated, that meant that no one had a red dot. First: oops, misread. Hahaha Second: Yes, you can. It's called lapping.

Oh wait... oops. I read Mo's explanation wrong. XD
Not if you're running in a straight line~ Well, I suppose you could if you ran at the speed of light and ran around the entire earth. In this senario, we're assuming that you can't overtake the last person, unless you're superman.
Anyway, we have a riddle thread now... so I guess I'll ask another pointless question.
What is the meaning of life?

What is the meaning of life? Joke haha: 42 Seriously: To learn as much as humanly possible while having copious amounts of fun at the same time. At least for me. I guess what the meaning of life is different between person to person, so you'll have to try to find your own meaning. What is the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything? Pick one: 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 "Ford, you're turning into a couch. At the north pole, you can only look south, not north. At the South pole, you can only look North, not south. But where in the world could you look north and south, but not east or west?
