PORTAL
"There's a hole in the... sky, through which things can... fly."
My only complaint against this game is that it is simply too badass. It needs to be longer. I demand more Portals. The GLaDOS is hilarious, the portalsystem forces you to think (and I mean really think, not "Okay I got a new gadget so it must solve this problem, let's use it on this thingy till it works"), and... yeah. I could rave for a few more hours, but I won't cuz I'd give stuf away. Three more games to go.
PEGGLE
Not as mindblowingly awesome as Portals, but still incredibly addicting. There's a free demo available on PopCap.com, I'd suggest you try it. Just a puzzler game, each level takes like five minutes tops. Lunchbreak-sized entertainment. I love it.
TEAM FORTRESS 2
Dear God this game is awesome. Such a refreshing break from MMO PvP. 12 classes to choose from, each one with completely different abilities. Entirely skillbased, no leveling required. It's a multiplayer online modal FPS, no plot, just play. Any class can be awesome with skill - my favorite is sniping people to death with the Medic's Needlegun, for example. Definitely worth a try.
Half-Life 2
I haven't played it yet, still massively hooked on Team Fortress II, but my roomie gave me a review. It's "everything you could have hoped for out of a HalfLife sequel, and then some. Oh, and the Gravity Gun is so much hax." Someone give it a try and tell me about it.

So does anyone play TF2? Look me up on Steam, I'm Aviyara_Lexicon. I'd be glad to give yas a hand learnin' the ropes.
