Something about the trauma of playing Mercenaries with HUNK kinda turned me off... ><
Jukka: Yea, I suppose... D8 But it doesn't mean it'll be easy. I'm doing a pistol-only run right now and dangit, it's hard DX

Do a knife only run through. I haven't tried it, but I imagine it would be hard.

Knife only playthrough can be done using ALOT of grenades and a total of 4 shots. =/
I'm not going to try it. There is hard, and then there is HARD.

I don't think you can kill Las Plagas with a knife, it'd be impossibleh >_>;

It's definitely possible: You run forward, take a quick slice and scoot backwards. It doesn't matter where you hit, because even a body-slash will do damage to the Plaga. Additionally, you could stun someone nearby and KICK the plaga away, following up with a couple slashes to the cerebral cortex >D
All enemies have attack patterns. Once you figure it out they're easy to beat.

And that is where flash grenades come in handy. Instant kill (if im thinking of Las Plagas as the right things anyway...haven't played RE4 in a while.)

Mo, try playing up to the village (with the chainsaw peep), and then just starting over. That's usually enough to get you familiar with the controls and how everything works to make life a little easier. RE4 has great hit detection, by the way: Hit the head to make them writhe, holding their face. You can run up to them and KICK them when they're stumbling, hitting anyone nearby and knocking them to the ground. Additionally, you are invincible during the KICK animation, so don't be afraid to run towards a crowd and KICK them all onto the ground. Also, you have a chance to make their head explode on the spot regardless of how much HP they have left Their their upper arm to make them hold their shoulder, saying ow. This is actually not the best spot to hit them, because it almost looks like a headshot at first, and you try to go and KICK, but it's not D8 Hit their lower arm to make them drop their weapon. If they're holding lit dynamite, you only have to hit their lower arm to make it explode, NOT the dynamite itself :3 If they throw it, though, shoot the dynamite. Hit their body to do nothing in particular except damage. Shoot their thigh to make them fall onto the ground while they're running, or to stumble them briefly. Shoot their calves to make them fall when they're running, or to drop them to their knees if they're walking/standing. When they're on their knees, you can do a different kind of KICK that hits them and everyone behind him (instead of around you). I like the other KICK (headshot KICK) better, to be honest. Later in the game, once you enter the Castle, (beginning of Chapter 3), your KICK turns into a SUPLEX, which hurts alot but only hits one peep. :3 Remember, your knife can do the same thing your gun can! Namely, if you cut their face, you can run up and KICK them (but you don't get the instantkill chance). KICKS are very good for conserving ammo, because they take FOREVER to get back up off the ground. You have plenty of time to knife them up while they're getting up. Oh, quick note on the knife: If you hold down the A button to keep slashing repeatedly, you can normally stunlock a single Ganado To get the chainsaw peep to appear, go into the village, keep going past the burning body, and on the left you should see an open doorway with a fence around it. Go inside there, and you see a cutscene. Go upstairs and pick up the shotgun Oh, by the way, there are plenty places where things pop out of strange places. Like... tenacles from the ceiling... (Verdurgo.. I hated that fight) Thanks for the guide, but at that point, I had allready had the shotgun and gotten like a few chapters in (not full chapters, I was at like 1.3 or something).... I figured out why I missed the chainsaw guy. When I got the village, (with the shotgun), Instead of rushing in, I backed way up to the door to the place an held off against all the people, and then the Bell rang and They all left. But I found out thats where the chainsaw guy was because my brother played and he tried to rush trough, and got his head sawed off XD I never saw him.. Until later, but I murderized him. I fought that first Giant thing, And that sucked, but the second one was way easier (I went that way, when it said I could either Fight a bunch of people or the El gigante, I decided It would be easier to just blast the crap out of it with the shotgun, not even running, and it worked.) But right now, I just got to the castle. Before I got there, I had like no room in my inventory, and loads of money. Now I have room, and no money. XD I guess I might have made a mistake in selling the red9 to get the Blacktail (or whatever its called), cause I found out it had less fire power in the end than the Red9, but I didn't know when I bought it... so I'll just deal with it. XD But this game is awesome XD EDIT: Oh yeah, that house scene with Louis, or whatever his name is, that was fun too XD EDIT 2: I also agree, the TMP sucks, and I'm at the very beggining, so I know it has to suck later on. I've only used it once or twice because I was running out of ammo for everything else. I thought it would be good when I was a group was coming, but they just kept coming >.< it doesn't like stun them at all... or at least barely. I had to use my Shotgun and it did the trick...

Ho do you encounter the big cheese(I like calling him that ) at the village? Do you encounter Saddler? No... But you encounter Bitores Mendes, or something like that. He's really not that hard... after you get a strategy.. for me, at least... I don't like this castle... That guy in the Jail freaks me out, and I'm scared to play again XD You have to like shoot him in the back right? Cause I unloaded like all of my ammo into him and it didn't do anything, and I read that his back is his weak spot.
