Aleu roused herself in time to see a boulder fly from the depths of the water, clipping Kapu on his wing. "Kapu!" Aska-Kapu spun in the air, got slapped into the wall by something long and black, and *plunk!* fell into the water.
"Kapu you fool." Aleu ddove into the lake, resurfacing a moment later. From what she could tell from the last time she went in, it would be at least five minutes of hard swimming to reach the bottom. Kapu was probably at least halfway down by now.
"Great... just great Kapu. I though I told you that I didn't want to do the dragon thing again. Oh well." Taking a deep breath, Aleu flipped over and dove into the water, a draconic tail dipping under after her.
The shapeshifter blinked, trying to the clear the mud from her eyes. There was a yellowish glow from the left, that was Kapu. Turning slowly (water resistance was such a bother), Aleu struck out for Kapu, who was rapidly sinking.
You alright?
Um. Sure. Hehehe? Kapu sounded dazed.
Let's get you out of here then. Aleu positioned Kapu between the wings on her back and began to swim up.
Aleu?
What?
To your left.
Huh? Oh. WHAP!
Ow.The brother and sister pair were struck by the creature again, this time the force of the impact sent them spinning into the mud. Kapu pulled, losing some feathers in the process, but his wing quickly snapped back into place.
Uh oh.
This is bad, right?
I consider that an understatement.
Why?
Look in front of us.
Oh. Does this count as a potentially lethal situation?
I'd say that fits the bill. Why?
No reason. Aleu clawed at her pockets, extracting a roasry and pointing at the approaching 'Kraken.'
What's that for?
I was a priestess, remember? I know what I'm doing.
You'd better. The 'Kraken' was approaching and gaining speed, to ram the pair into the ground.
I do. Watch. The rosary began to shine with a bright white light, forcing away the muck that bound Aleu to the lake floor. Kapu stayed firmly stuck. Nreh.
Help?
Wait your turn. The 'Kraken' seemed undaunted by the recent turn of events, after all, the girl was still in a prime position to be squashed.
Aleu reached forward into the light, pulling back to reveal an arrow of light, positioned against a bow and bowstring made of similar material.
Told you. Aleu let go of the arrow, shooting it forth and peircing the 'Krakens' right side.
Great aim.
Thank you.
I was being sarcastic.
I was too. Oops.
Oops!? The 'Kraken' spazzed after being struck and reversed direction abrubtly, then the force of the sudden turnaround sent a large amount of very heavy water at the duo.
Oops indeed. We're just as bad off before, and I'm going to drown in about thirty seconds. What now, genius?
We lay here stuck in the mud and bemoan our fate? I still have about a minute. Nyah nyah.
... For once, Kapu had no comeback. His sister had gone completely crazy. They were about to die and she was pulling faces at him.
You're nuts. I've told you before but this time I mean it. You're... mmm? Umm... uh... mm... blarg. Kapu's head lolled to one side, dropping slowly through the water.
Aleu hummed to herself for the next thirty seconds. Dying wasn't so bad, now that she had a feel for what it felt like. Actually, it was kinda calm and peacefulish... mmm... Like lying down in a warm blanket and bed...yeaaaa...
It felt just like taking a nap, Aleu thought, her vision now completely gone and her brain struggling feebly against the clutch of death. Just a nap... that she would never awaken from.
((Yea, well, I told you I would vanish convieniently. This fits the bill, and I'm going on vacation tomorrow anyway.
Bai!
Oh, I wrote this under the assumption that it's really big... is that alright?))
((I just read my OOC, and it seems awfully cheerful to follow a post where I just killed off my two rp chars. O.o Oh well, that's the way life goes. *Skips away, whistling "Supercalafragilisticexpialidocious"*)
