"You..can't do math? And you want to learn? Unless you plan on being a shop clerk, I don't really see the point in math, alot of wasted hours if you ask me.."

"Yeah, you don't see the point in it because you already know it. You can add and multiply and subtract and stuff. I can't. I have to trust that shopclerks are being fair and accurate when they add stuff up. I can't check it to be sure. I'd be lost for years in Meltokio; all the streets run on a numbering system. And I'm glad I've never had to use a cookbook... I looked at one the other day. Half the recipes use those damn "fraction" things in their amounts. I don't know what they mean!" Cyrus replies hotly.
"Math ain't worthless. You just don't realize how much you use every day..."

"Actually cookbooks are just plain hard to understand...they're a language all their own...and uh..okay so you have some points.."

"Math ain't worthless. You just don't realize how much you use every day..." "Calm down," Ari said to Cyrus, while opening the door. "I'll teach you everything that I can. You'll learn in time-- it's all fairly easy. And for you, it'll come pretty quickly." She strode out into the sun, peering around for something to count or practice on. Pencil and paper aren't any fun... The half-elf knelt down, her eyes catching the bright blossoms. She plucked a few from the tall grass and returned to the kitchen. "Alright. Let's start out simple. Can you tell me how many flowers are here?" ((Cheesy, I know. But how does one learn math? I simply cannot remember.))

"Sure." Cyrus ticks off the flowers on his fingers, finally coming to "...7 flowers."
<<Teaching math... start basic, with counting, then move to simple addition. From there, use addition tp reach higher numbers, then teach subtraction. (Start removing flowers.) Then teach the idea of counting by numbers (like counting by fives or tens). Once "counting by" is mastered, relate to multiplication. Then after one understands multiplication, try teaching division. (split x items into five equal groups. How many in each group?)>>

"Perfect," Arynielle praised, concentrating on the flowers again. "If I were to take two of them away-" She randomly picked out two of the stems and tossed them at Aleu. "How many are left?"
Aleu sniffed at the flowers, sneezing when the pollen reached her nose. "Achoo!"
((Ironically, as I was typing up the last sentence, I sneezed as well...))

<Hahah...>
"...5, I guess..." Cyrus quickly counts them again to be sure. "Yeah, 5."

Kriven walks off again, suddenly feeling bored. "When are we getting outta here.."
(Genis, we're running out of stuff to RP, I mean Cyrus is learning math, that says something to me >_<)
