((okay I am finally starting this... yeah, I know... I should have started this earlier...)) Welcome to the world of Tellius. Hundreds of years ago, the dark god brought chaos to the world, submerging all but the continent of Tellius. This world is inhabited by two races, the beorc, and the laguz. The beorc are humans, they are the visage of the goddess. The laguz breaches the gap between human and beast. These two races have faced fierce discrimination and prejudice on both sides. This story starts in the country of Crimea, a beorc nation, at a fort that is home to the Greil Mercenaries. The fort has two enterances in front, in the south and the west, and one in the back. There are many buildings including a mess hall, stables, and sleeping quarters. ((and we start, those that I have marked to be able to play the left over characters can control them {any of them can control any character at any time...example: Ari can control Ike at one point and later Martel can control him etc.}... I'll start the storyline a little bit of character develop. Not too much though since there are people who can't really start yet since they come in later. I will be starting the story at chapter 3... once we have some interaction...

((Whee!))
In the middle of a lush forest, Ike and his father Greil sparred with wooden swords, each exchanging and recieving harsh blows. Ike, a blue-haired fellow, with an ambitious attitude gathered his strength and lunged at his more experienced father. "Hyahh!"
Wrong move.
With one swift slash and blow, Greil knocked Ike back, sending the boy to the harsh ground on his back. Thump. "Ugh!"
"Had enough, Ike?"

((I've decided to toss Reya the Myrmidon into here just so that I can do something before we meet the laguz. )) "Good morning, Mist. How's Ike holding up after getting trounced by the Commander yesterday?" Reya pushed back a tress of greenish hair behind her ears, where it promptly fell back in front of her eyes. "He's a bit bruised up but nothing's broken," replied Mist as she watched Reya idly blow at her locks, making them flutter a few inches in front of her face before falling back. "That's good... I was afraid we'd have to get Rhys out of the sick bay to fix him up. Good to know we won't be straining the poor guy." She sighed; the hair stuck to the side of her forehead. Reya could sympathize with Rhys; as a child, she had been sickly as well. However, a trip to a mysterious bishop living in a dark alley by the Crimean Palace on a trip from her homeland of Gallia, in addition to the open plains rather than a cramped forest worked wonders and saved her from an early death. After her mother's disappearance, Reya was left alone in the world. Her father, she was told, was killed in one of the many border skirmishes that Gallia had with beorc nations. Her uncle was a chronic alcoholic; she wouldn't be surprised if he were dead by now. Reya's only living relation, her grandfather, had been a general in the Crimean Army, she hoped that if she had come to Crimea she would find refuge with him. No luck. The palace informed her that her grandfather had been killed in a minor mutiny incident a year earlier. She spent the next few days living off what she could catch in the woods (thank the gods that the laguz had taught her something of living in the wild), when she stumbled upon a battle. Surprised, she saw a large man weilding a larger axe leading a charge against a group of black market dealers. It appeared that their goods also dealt in weaponry of all sorts, judging by the way they were armed. Reya cringed away from the fight, she didn't want to see the axe-man get cut down along with his little band of friends. They looked like nice people... She couldn't help but take a quick peek. "By the godess..." That man couldn't be human! The way he handled his weapon, and the masses of foes falling like wheat before a scythe. It was absurd! This had to be a dream... just a bad, bad dream... She began to scoot away backwards, hoping to put some distance between them and herself. Oops. The peddler she had run into a) looked angry, and b) had a really, really sharp sword. Not a good combination when you were unarmed and crawling along the ground at his feet. WHAP. A green-haired knight with a wide smile (godess, how that smile freaked her out) struck the bandit a heavy blow across the chest, sending him off into the distance. "Thank you, Mister..." "Oscar. Here, take this sword." A blue-ish blade was pressed into her hands. "I hope you know how to fight?" "No..." "You're about to learn then. Come!" The rest of the battle was a blur, but there were three things she remembered. First, Reya found out either her opponents moved slowly or she was quick, because she emerged from almost every encounter without a scratch. Second, she was pretty good with the sword as well. The azure blade had claimed three lives that day. The third was the most important and life changing of anything that had ever happened to her. "Would you like to join the Greil Mercenaries?" "Hallo! Reya!" She snapped out of her daze to see a little hand waving in front of her. "Don't space out like that, Reya. It scares me." "Like Oscar does?" Reya asked with a smile. "Worse!"

Brian ran towards the camp gasping for breath. "Hah...Ashnard...why...?" He collasped outside of the mercenary camp.

((you know it's Soren who tells the group in the storyline... I still want to follow it... not to burst your bubble or anything I still want to rp that part since my character will also come in at that point.))
Right before Brian was able to make it to the fort a big, ugly man with an even nastier looking smile on his face appeared in front of him, "Where do you think you're going, runt? Are you part of that group of sellswords too? Well that red-haired wench aint gonna get one of her pups back." With that, the lone bandit swung at Brian. Right before the blade of the axe would have made contact with the theif's skull, a lance poked through the attacker's stomach. As the dead bandit fell, the blunt side of his axe hit Brian on his head, knocking him unconcious.
The young, green-haired man on the horse got down to check on Brian, "Thank goodness, he's only unconcious." Oscar then carefully drapped the blue haired man on his horse and walked her back to the fort so that Rhys could take care of any injuries the visitor might have. As Oscar entered the fort a woman with long, red hair pulled back in a braid approached him.
"Oscar! Who is that? What happened?"
"Oh, Titania. Apparently there was still some bandits left. This man was approaching the fort and was attacked by one. I am taking him to Rhys just to make sure that there are not any serious injuries," The lance knight calmly said to the deputy commander.
"I'll go check the area to make sure there aren't anymore bandits wanting revenge," Titania went to get her horse and scouted the area.

Thunk! Reya whirled, hand instantly upon her blade. "Mist, stay here. I'll go see what's going on." She took off, slammed a door open, and watched Titania speak to Oscar before going off to mount her steed. Reya breathed in relief. It wasn't a raid after all, just a lone bandit. Maybe there were more, but at least the camp was safe for now. "Titania!" The paladin turned in her saddle. "Oh, Reya. Hello. I was just going to scout out the area to check for more of those bandits."
Reya nodded. "I'll join you, then. It'll be faster with two people. Besides, we'll have to hury. It's almost mealtime."

((okay... like very few people are rping... it is making me sad... TT_TT okay then, perhaps if we went on with the storyline.))
There were no more bandits to be found. When Titania and Reya finished their search, Greil came out.
"All right everyone! Into the breifing room, we have a few jobs to take care of," The large man called out to all of the mercenaries and went back inside.

"Aiii, not even a chance to get something to eat," Reya grumbled unhappily, sheathing the sword she had kept out during the scouring of the area. Maybe something could be found along the way... maybe... something like... that tart... mm... lemon tart, to boot... She'd just take a discreet step over this way... shuffle around her cloak a tiny bit... move a hand quietly...
Score! The tart was hers.

(well actually. I wasn't going to have Brian tell them the news and Brian was originally going to appear with Soren, but meh.) The unconsious Brian twitched a little. The last thing he though was, 'why me?'

OOC:So, Chapter 3 is before or after they get to Gallia...? I'm so forgetful.
IC:Miharu raised her head. She was walking in a rather disturbing forest, as she would call it, which happened to be right next to Gallia. She shifted her eyes for any signs of living beings. Of course, she didn't see any for now... "... huh..." Her thoughts were kept short as she continued to walk along, looking for something a laguz child had apparently lost. "What kid would go this far in the first place? And to top it of, lose her toy?" She couldn't help but roll her eyes.
