I thought that the Avatar did the number and Koizumi failed to stop it.
Nono, sorry. Nagato halted the data flow into this locale and therefore it is inaccessible.

Actually, the most antagonizing I think there is in the novel is the focus of it - Suzumiya Haruhi herself. She creates Avatars in the Sealed Reality, and they have the possibility to wreck the world. XP

I keep thinking that the antagonist has to be evil, but I forget that's not a specification. XD Though, you could go farther and say that the antagonists are the Celestials/Avatars. FD

But Haruhi creates them (even though she is unaware of it), and hence she is the antagonist, not the blue giants.

But Haruhi creates them (even though she is unaware of it), and hence she is the antagonist, not the blue giants. You're not going to be an English major, are you? FD Let's say Protagonist A starts Event A. Event A spirals into Event B, which goes into Event C, which then continues to create Event D. Event D scars Antagonist A for life, causing him to become the antagonist. Though Protagonist A caused the string of events, since he was unaware of what it would cause, Antagonist A would be the defined antagonist. Since Haruhi is not consciously creating the Closed Spaces, or the Celestials/Avatars, one could argue that she's not a true antagonist.

I'm just somewhat good with grammar, and that's merely all, really. Possibly vocabulary, too. But nonetheless, Haruhi still is the antagonist.Correction. I wasn't precise enough. Haruhi is the source of antagonists. Meaning that the Avatars are antagonists after all - seeing to the fact Haruhi unintentionally creates them. And P-chan, if I spoiled anything, I'm sorry.

P-chan finished the series already, so she knows more than you. =P The series is novel 1, and excerpts from several other novels. I'm on novel 5, but I haven't read at all lately.

Did you notice the word 'if', Ryuu? It sets conditions that are to be met. and your explanation was just... redundancy.
No offense, but you gave out more info than you needed. XDD

XDD Or, I could have simply taken the job of assuring you that you didn't spoil anything off of P-chan's hands, since she's not around at the moment, while explaining how nothing was spoiled, and adding in a little factoid about Ryuu.

I'm free to say whatever I want, regardless of whether or not you want the information. As in, I've read ahead a few times for certain reasons. Book 4 was a very, very good book. And SPOILERS: RYUU IS THE SLIDER FD.
