I'm one of those weirdos who saw the movie first, and I'll read the book as soon as I can. If you don't take into account that it's based off a book, and (based on what you've said) is nothing like it, I thought it wasn't a half bad movie. o.O Then again, I understand the annoyance of seeing a movie that isn't anything like what it's supposed to be based off of. I get terribly annoyed at the Harry Potter movies, as they seem to be getting worse and worse with each one >.< Anyway... another vote for a book board! Well, there's nothing wrong with you... a lot of the people said that as a movie, Eragon wasn't bad at all, but compared to the book... that's another story. And yes, the Harry Potter movies need to die. >.>

most movies made out of books are like that. The movie is good, but compared to the book, *shuder*...
but lord of the rings, i think they butchered stuff out of the books for good... Cause i've read the books and seen the movies, and the books just go on and on and on and on... i'm glad they took out stuff in those movies....

One of my life's goals is to do the Eragon movies CORRECTLY. So if I'm given the oppurtunity, I'm going to make an Eragon movie that is true to the book.
And they left out tons of characters, if you didn't hear. The big strong dude that makes the butcher give Eragon his meat, they changed it so that Eragon's cousin is leaving the continent instead of having him leave town to work at that farm, the butcher's daughter is gone too. Jeod or whatecer his name was (Brom's friend) was completely left out. They killed the two evil things that killed Eragon's uncle (I don't remember them dieing in the book.) They also left out how Saphira gets her name, simply changing it to:
Eragon: Well, what's your name? Dragon: Saphira.
The whole movie I was just "WTF"
Oh, the Werecat is nowere to be seen.

Ah, Kriv! We should make Eragon together. Bwahahahahahaha......
and yeah. and i hear Eragon never gets his scar. Eldest is gonna be weird without that...
But if Joed, Katrina, and the Raz'zac aren't there... i just don't know....
But yeah, they didn't even try, really. I think they spent all their money on the Dragon so they couldnt' afford everything else XD
My friend said, that after they made the movie, this probably happened;
Person: How are you guys gonna make Eldest now? Eragon Movie Maker:... What's Eldest?

I've read the books and have seen the movies and I do think that that producer did really well with the movies. Tolkien kinda drags on... like after the ring was destroyed, he had to continue with Wormtongue at the Shire and I was all like, "Enough!!!" Omfq, Kriv. That's sacrilege. Let's make Eragon-- the Tales version!

XD and in the lord of the rings books, the good parts were short. like, the battle of helms deep (the actual battle part) was like 2 paragraphs XD and there was this huge part at the begging that didn't play into the story at all... the books are better after you've seen the movies.
EDIT: Though some parts in the movies were odd. Like at the very begging, when gandalf leaves, then comes back, like 30 years passed. And when they go to rivendell and see Bilbo (30 years after he dropped the ring, mind you) hes only a tad older, but when they go back to the shire at the end (about a year later), hes ancient. XD

Sure ^_^ and we'll do it right! The only part I would clip would be the Urgal spear stabbing through the baby, and even then I'd just take out the baby

XD I'm just glad they took out the beginning part where Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry got lost in that forest. >.> The part in the book bored me to death. @.@ About the odd parts, I think they must've changed the time scheme in the movies... 'cause when Gandalf went back and forth, it only seemed like a matter of hours (days at most) before he returned. O.o In the movie anyway. Omfq. Tales Eragon! ^-^ Let's see... Who has brown hair? We can make him Eragon. XD

Hahah... I just thought about something. We should get five people to all fit inside a dragon costume and play Saphira.

I has brown hair So does I.... I would need some contacts though, cause i don't think Eragon wears glasses, not if we want to do it right XD... I'm suprized the makers of the movie didn't make someone wearing glasses play Eragon (while wearing the glasses). That would just be funny XD
