Many think too much about the past. some even wish to change it. but the past has already happened. It no longer can be accessed. the idea of time travel is valid, but only to the point that you may travel to the future. the only time travel that happened was merely accidental when a rocket was sent onto space - it reached a speed so high that the object's mass and it's velocity were at a rate that allowed it to skip time.
But enough about time travel.

Wait, a space thing-a skipped time?

yes it did - but it was such a small amout that it was never released as a major announcement. it was like 0.000137 seconds, so yeah, it was pretty much accidental. that ship even had a successful launch, too! if it comes back down, expect it to be worth a lot. it's the first and so far only thing to have traveled time.

I think an airplane traveled throught time once as well, and then re-entered our own.

nope - too low a velocity. needs to be faster than mach 5 for a plane to do such.

Ah, I see. Hmm....maybe in the not to near future...

actually, we're actually quite close to time travel. in fact, the air in front of you may be doing such! air is matter and if you blow, it usually takes almost no time at all for the air to go places. velocity of molecules needed - just a little more than 7 km/h for just air. for other things, it's different. it all depends on the mass. Albert Einstein made this theorem. E=MC2 (I love using BB coding for text!)

Err, that formula is actually used to calculate binding energy of atoms... His time travel theory was his Theory of Relativity (I think. Not sure if it was Special or General either. >_>)
